The Historic Preservation Society wanted to preserve the outside features and maintain the original design intent of the building to have visible foundations. However, the former metal grates detracted from the view and had to be replaced. The solution – Jockimo’s GlassGrit™ Crystal Clear glass flooring made with low iron glass. Our transparent glass flooring product allowed for a safe and durable covering for this feature while giving full visibility to the building’s original architectural features.
